Although many (including myself) doubted the ability of the franchise to make the jump to the current console generation successfully, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit proves this is one series with some serious staying power. It features the detailed graphics and dramatic, seamless battles expected from a next-generation console.
Advanced TechniquesThrows, Super Attacks, Ultimate AttackThrow: If you're right next to your opponent, you can throw them by pressing Guard & Rush Attack at the same time. These will toss your opponent a short distance, leaving them vulnerable to a follow-up attack.Super Attack: Super Attacks are powerful attacks that can be executed by tapping either left or right + Ki Blast at the same time.Ultimate Attack: If your Ki Gauge is fully charged, then you can launch something known as the Ultimate Attack.
You select the exact type of Ultimate Attack that you want before the battle. To pull this baby off, press up + Ki Blast whenever your Ki gauge is full. This move inflicts a massive amount of damage and is well worth your while. Drama Pieces, TransformationsTransforming: Some characters have the power to transform into a more powerful form, but they can only do this when their Ki Gauge is fully charged. To transform, simply press the Transform button when your Ki Gauge is full. But be careful, as your defenses grow weaker when transformed!Heavy Smash: Hold the Pursuit butoon and press Smash AttackMega Crush: Hold the Pursuit butoon and press the Ki Blast button. Pursuit Attack: The Pursuit Attack allows you continue pummeling an opponent, even after you've knocked them sky-high.
They're easy to perform! First, knock your opponent into the air by pressing up + Smash Attack. Now press Pursuit while they're in the air, and follow-up by performing an Aerial Pursuit Attack (up + Pursuit). Launch opp down Down + PursuitEX Super Attack: With this powerful move, you can unleash a Charged Super Attack without actually having to charge! Ex Super 1: Hold Pursuit, then press toward your opponent + Ki Blast. EX Super 2: Hold Pursuit, then press away from your opponent + Ki BlastBurst: So what happens when you and your opponent's Super or Ultimate attack collide?
When this happens, hammer on any one of the four face-buttons as fast as you can to overcome your opponent's attack and deal some massive damage. Aura SparkAura Spark: Press the Transform button when your Ki Gauge is maxed out to activate the Auora Spark - you'll know it's working when you start glowing.
When activated, you'll become more resistant to normal attacks and be able to launch special moves and attacks that you couldn't normally. As an example, pressing the Ki Blast button will allow you to launch a charged Ki Blast without having to charge it. However, it only lasts for a short period of time, so it's important to make use of it while you can.
Also, your Ki won't start decreasing for a moment or two, allowing you to unlease an Ultimate Attack if you're quick enough.Vanishing Move: The Vanishing Move allows you to warp behind your opponent for a surprise attack. To perform this move, activate the Aura Spark, then press either left or right and tap the Aura Spark button at the exact same time. Get used to it, as it can be a great evasive tool, as well as an offensive one.Ultimate Move Attack: This is a more powerful version of the standard pursuit attack. After activate the Aura Spark, launch an opponent (up + Smash Attack), then tap the Blow-Away Attack button to perform the move.
During the attack, you'll have to hammer on any one of the four face buttons to inflict even more damage.

Risking It All For Your Friend Drama Piece
In order to get the 'Risking it all for a friend' drama piece, you must play the mission in Story Mode that involves Gohan fighting Nappa. Let Gohan get a little fatigued then start attacking Nappa until the point he uses his ultimate attack. Get hit by it and Piccolo will sacrifice his life for you. Beat Nappa to unlock and it can be used for all the characters.
